Guidelines

We are a platform for evangelical Australian voices. However, if you aren’t in that core group, we will still consider your article, just tell us your own context and theological identification upfront.

1. Bio: Send your article/pitch along with your name and a brief bio.
2. Format: Send the article as a Word doc.
3. Length: We prefer about 1200 words, but will consider pieces of other lengths and will provide editorial guidance on length.
4. Spelling & Grammar: We use Australian conventions. 
5. Referencing: Reference all specific quotes or data. We prefer links but will allow a small number of footnotes.
6. Tone: Be respectful, gracious and fair.
7. Factcheck: Ensure you maintain accuracy. We will check anything we have concerns about, but the onus remains with authors to ensure they are truthful. 
8. Audience: We aim for the reading level of a quality newspaper, and to be accessible to a thoughtful but not specialist audience.
